Rugged Wellie Chelsea Boots

I purchased a pair of these boots in late October 2025. I wore them every day to walk my puppy in our field. About a month ago, my feet started feeling wet while walking and I discovered a separation between the sole and footbed in the rubber seam. I did a quick dot of glue and they were fine...until today, as I tried to pull them on the pull-on strap in the back came right out. I have never been disappointed with a product from LL Bean, until today. I do not recommend this boot.

Ive been looking for an ankle high boot for those dewy mornings and rainy summer days. Something also nice enough to wear to town. I wanted a neoprene boot but had some difficulties with fit being too narrow and marginally long enough, and most were more then I really wanted to spend. I saw these on the internet and dismissed them because they only got 3 stars and change and they weren't neoprene. I was able to try them on at a local store however and quickly changed my mind. They fit my feet perfectly and I can wear a light or a medium weight wool sock comfortably. I wear a standard 8 shoe, sometimes 8.5 in a boot. If I have issues it's because of a tight toe box in some styles. These are not heavy nor clunky, they look in fact narrow, my foot doesn't move around, width and toe space as one would want and expect. I was worried about getting them on and off but they slip on easily using the pull tabs and remove super easy and quick using my other foot on the heel. Ive worn them all day working in the yard, and my feet stayed very comfortable and also surprised that my feet didn't sweat in the 80 degrees. The foot bed is very comfy too. The gentleman at the store advised to wear taller socks so the tops don't rub, but it hasn't been a problem. I wore them on a rainy morning with jeans to a dr appointment and got several compliments on them. I'm pleased with the overall construction, sole and quality of these boots. Overall extremely happy with my purchase and would recommend. Of note, I got the navy which looks great with jeans.

I love this boot for the summer rain. I wear it when I go puddle splashing with my grandson. They aren't too warm for the summer rains so they are really nice. The only reason I didn't give them a 5 is that are very clunky and look large on my foot. I guess that's the style though.

These are my favorite shoes. Currently working to glue the seam closed because I love the shoes. Seams at the crease wear I walk aren't holding and there's holes in both shoes. I've worn them everyday for about 2 months now. Before I wore them here and there. I've only owned maybe 5 months. Sad :(

I wanted to live these but as others have mentioned, the seam came apart and are now NOT waterproof. Hopefully they fix this issue. I won't be purchasing them again.

These boots are very poorly made. Been working in them for 3 days and they have completely broken and torn apart. Extremely dissatisfied and disappointed.

Read through reviews before purchasing. Purchased in October, wore a handful of times and seal is split on L and R boot at exact spot. Discovered when wearing when it rained the other day and feet became soaking wet. Returning today, wont replace after reading so many other similar reviews
