Scotch Plaid Shirt

All around perfect shirt!! Perfect fabric, favorite fit, and great warmth for fall wear!

Highly recommend! I normally wear a petite size but bought this as a regular small as I wanted to use it as a jacket over t-shirts. It is a beautiful weight flannel. It has already been washed once and has maintained its color and seems to be even softer than originally.

Inconsistent sizing. Bought a petite small flannel shirt a year or so ago, great fit. Measures 15.5" shoulder seam to shoulder seam. Bought a petite small this year 19.5" shoulder seam to shoulder seam. Like the color so will have it tailored to fit. If I can't trust the sizing may not buy from L.L. Bean again.

I bought this last month to wear in the fall and winter. It washed well and looks nice on.

Purchase the brown Stewart ( new color) & it's just muted dull brown/ red not like the photos on line. I got regular large like previous purchases same size. This one is sooo long it looks like a tunic with buttons down the front , there is no way it could be tucked into my jeans! What is going on with LLB lately?!!! I will decide on keeping it but right now I'm on the fence as I ordered a second color & it hadn't arrived. Very disappointed. I will say the material quality is good, plains match at seams but it came in a package , all tags attached but taped up ( ie inside package) as if it is a return from another customer! Not a happy 50+ year long customer.

I bought two of these shirts in Nov. 2025 and have worn each only a half dozen times or so. Very pleased with the design and construction but I am totally unhappy with the way the fabric is wearing. The surface is PILLING -- it looks like it has been scrubbed hard by a very hard, stiff bristle brush. This is upsetting as it's my first experience ever (decades) with LLBean flannel shirts where this has ever happened. For the cost of these shirts I was expecting fabric that would not look scruffy and cheap after so little use.

This time, I purchased the XL TALL in this plaid relaxed flannel shirt. I sadly had to donate a stack of the same shirt purchased in the past, though different color plaids, because I kept purchasing regular instead of tall. (I don't remember if TALL has always been offered?). I have never put these flannel shirts in the dryer. I am average height, and most all LLBean shirt lengths are at or above my belly button. I am pleased with the TALL; it fits exactly as it should, with the sleeve length also being perfect, I am assuming because of the TALL size. Unfortunately, the plaid on this wonderfully thick flannel shirt does not match at side seams, which looks ridiculous and cheap. For the price of these, you would think at least the plaid at the side seams would match. I'll keep this shirt because LLBean stores don't carry TALLs, which means I couldn't look through a stack for the best matching seams in person. If I ordered another, I'll bet those side seams won't match either. Very disappointing.

The shirt is 100% cotton, but it's NOT flannel! It's just plain cotton shirt, very thin and not fluffy.
