I purchased these shoes and they fit so I tossed the packaging and started wearing them. After a few days they seemed too loose and squeaked. I put in one of the insoles as recommended by the manufacturer. They fit a bit better but then the top of my foot rubbed the shoe, causing pain, AND the squeaking was much louder. Since I wore them and no longer have the packaging, a return request was not accepted. I contacted Orthofeet to let them know about the product defect to see if they could help me. They told me to put Vaseline in the shoes to stop the squeaking. How squeaky? I wear hearing aids and when I’m not wearing them, the shoes are still really loud. I tried wearing them around the house, but they just keep getting looser because of the fabric construction material, and the squeaking! I can’t wear these shoes. They are defective.

When I first put these shoes on, I really liked them. They are lightweight and comfortable. I decided to keep them and wear them on errands and around town. After a week or so, I noticed that they squeak, a lot. Then, the fabric of the shoe relaxed a bit and so I tightened the laces to try to keep my foot from moving around, but I realized the shoe fabric had stretched so that didn’t work. Yesterday, I was wearing them to run errands on a warm day and the friction of my foot in the sock in the shoe made them uncomfortable. I can’t return them so will just wear thicker socks, and use them on a cool day and hope for the best.

These shoes come with extra orthotic-like supports, but fit perfectly without them. I bought them for my husband, who is very hard to fit and he just returned from his first good walk in these and is pleased!

Coming from New Balance M840 7 1/2 4E wide toe box, which they don't make anymore. The Orthofeet shoe felt flat, without much cushioning, and the toe box not nearly as wide (which I should have known just from the photos). My toes were squeezed from the side.
