Fresh Foam X 1540v4

Everyone has different needs. For me this one is the closest I have found and I have tried so so many. I have high arch, high instep and recovering from plantar fasciitis. With high instep I need volume in the toe box which forces me to buy wide. Usually the heel slips. This does not due to the hole pattern allowing me to adjust the heel using the strings. Some complain about the tongue being thin; it is. They mentioned cheap string holes cut; they are. But I would give all that up for a good fit. They are a great fit for me.

As always, my feet are happy with my NB shoes: Good support. Very lightweight. 1540s for pronation are always the best support.

Always reliable: With this shoe I feel stable and am able to walk correctly with my completely flat feet. Very comfortable shoe.

So uncomfortable. Irritates top of foot and ankle Heel support is too rigid. What happened to New Balance. Awful shoes.

These shoes seem to be cheaply made. The tongue is very thin and the upper of the shoe is thin and has no support. There is good ankle support but that is it. It did not extend past the front of the ankle and for a support shoe, that is not right. The shoes seemed large but I have a low volume foot so that may be just me. Overall, I expect more from New Balance and this price point. Disappointed.

These shoes were clearly worn. The bottoms were dirty. If you were selling me used/worn shoes the shoes should have been half the price.

I bought size 8M. It was too short (my toes hit the end of the shoe) and felt too tight across the ball of the foot.

These shoes were extremely uncomfortable. I wore them one time and gave them away. I have bought this brand for years and I've never had this issue.
