Why do all shoe manufacturers make shoes that are wide but then “narrow” down the toes. People with wide feet do NOT generally have narrow toe areas. Purchased widest available for husband and was wide enough through joint area but because it narrows after that still rubbed outside toes. Too bad since they are attractive. Husband has squares for feet--not fat, not tall just blocks with wide toe base. Altra tennis shoes work best so far
I have wide feet so the width was correct and had a large toe box. My only concern will be the durability of the shoe string canvas eyelets vs the normal round eyelets in most shoes.

I have metatarsal issues, and these are my favorite shoes for most occasions. Even for mountain biking. I have tried different shoes from other manufacturers, and these are the best I have found. PLus, they don't look very odd or "Orthopedic"
