Imagine someone took your favorite basketball high tops, added comfy insulation, covered that with a waterproof shell, then stiffened the heel through the sole and toebox just a little bit so that it could hold microspikes or crampons. That's what this winter hiking boot is like.

These boots met or exceeded all expectations. I own a previous year's model of XUltra winter boots. They are very warm, lightweight, flexible, waterproof and with good tread. One suggestion - make a model with ice teeth on the tread.

Amazing boot: I just recently got these boots. Its still to warm out to wear them though. I will say they fit great though!!! Highly reccomend you buy these. They are well worth it for comfort.

Great shoes! Absolutely love these snow boots! They're super warm, waterproof, and have great grip on ice. I've worn them through slush, snowstorms, and freezing temps - my feet stayed dry and cozy the whole time. They're also surprisingly lightweight and comfortable for all-day wear. Definitely worth it for winter weather!
