The issue was not the size or the support. The grommets for the laces are rubbing on the bunion on my feet.

A bit narrower than a medium. However hiking boots do take hours and hours of break in. I would highly recommend these boots as they seem like they will last a long time and are real leather for uppers, not some crappy mesh that will tear on the first branch. I can see why this company’s hiking boots get great reviews. Looking forward taking them on the trail, after a few more hours of indoor double sock break in.

Just couldn't get comfortable in them. Cushioning underfoot was good, but the rest of the shoe felt completely unforgiving and stiff, and the width-to-length ratio felt off. Tried several sizes, and had to return them all. I've never had foot problems, but my feet said "No way!" to these.

Size fairly true, all around. Too hard. Felt like I was wearing the box and not the boot. Not much flexibility. There's fairly decent cushioning. Am probably spoiled by wearing good running shoes.
