FYI for anyone who normally wears a Wide, this boot will NOT work. It's nice looking, looks well made, nice urban style. It also felt 1/2 size too small and it had low clearance, whereby top of boot hit up close to the top of my foot and I don't even have a high arch. I had thin socks on and the boot felt tight in toe box, even with laces loosened. The Danner Trail 2650, while it's a low-cut shoe, had so much more room in the toe box.
About 4 yrs ago, I bought 2 pairs of Danner Inquire chukka boots and love them still (showing wear). Even though my feet are a little wide, they fit perfectly. This newer version was "tweaked" a bit---the toe box now is slightly narrower. My slightly wide feet can still fit relatively comfortably, but only for shorter walks. I love the color I got and decided to keep in hopes of leather relaxing a little. There is more underfoot cushioning this time and the bottom has basically the same Vibram sole. Don't know why companies have to change a good thing.
Lovely look, but just too tight. Im a solid size 10, even in other models of Danner. Not the Inquire Chukka.
I love the color and the look. I ordered the wide and they fit great. Very comfortable foot bed. I just have to get used to where the top of the boot hits my ankle. The more I wear them the better that feels. Overall extremely satisfied!
This boot didn't work for me even though I love them. My right ankle bone protrudes to much and rubs. I couldn't discover anything that was secure and worked to cushion the bone. Sadly I returned them
I have a narrow foot. This boot fit well, holding my foot in both the heel and the toe area with lots of room for my toes. It truly was a Narrow and very comfort with good support and good arch support. I like the lacing system with large metal loops that made it so easy to get the shoe on and tie it effectively. The sole was rugged and non-slip. I felt stable when wearing these shoes.
Comfortable and stylish. Ive been wearing these to work and also to the local ski area. Getting good traction on the snow and ice around here in Oregon. These fit true to size and didnt require breaking in.
