Icebreaker merino wool is beyond exceptional. The half zip is form fitting by design so I always go up one size. I wash on delicate in cold water. Lay flat to dry. 260 is warm and a great base or mid layer.

I love Icebreaker base layers especially the 260s. They wear well and if you air out between wearing you can get several wearings between washings. I size up 1 size so as not to be form fitting. That way I feel comfortable wearing it as a midlayer.

I'm wool-sensitive—I have some older merino pieces I tolerate, but it has to be the "good stuff" or I get prickles and skin redness. If you came to Icebreaker because you're reacting to Smartwool or REI brand...this isn't really better, unfortunately. I can't wear it next to my skin. If you aren't wool sensitive, though, the port is a gorgeous color, the high neck is a boon, and the piece is stretchy and sure to be a hit.
