These are great walking shoes for easy to moderate trails. They are comfy, supportive, waterproof, and not too clunky looking. I purchased them mostly for walking in the city where I live; now retired, I like to take long walks on city streets and in parks, and my preferred cowboy boots are not made for this particular activity. One caveat I'd like to include here is that even though these shoes are waterproof, the soles are not quite as skid-proof as they could be. I took a walk on an easy trail in the Hudson Valley in the late morning after a night of rain, and slipped on damp rocks a couple of times. If you wear these for trail walking and the trail is wet, be extra careful. Overall, I am pleased with this purchase.
