Crème de la Mer Moisturizer for Anti-Aging and Barrier Repair

I was pleasantly surprised with the Crème de La Mer. I have dry skin and this cream is so soft. It actually hydrates the skin without a greasy feel. It did not break me out which was amazing. I’ve been using La Mer products on and off over the decades. My favorites are the Crème de la Mer original version, the Concentrate, the Treatment Lotion and the Renewal Oil. I’ve tried others in the range but those are my ride or die. I’ve always had really nice skin but menopause and weight loss have been very hard on my skin this year, even with HRT. So I’ve ended up transitioning to using a La Mer regimen full time, along with tretinoin. The Renewal Oil in particular is quite remarkable for plumping up the skin and giving it the glow of youth! And the Concentrate is amazing for moisture barrier repair, and to resolve general skin irritation and sensitivity. I always seal everything up with a nice layer of Crème de la Mer. The Soft Cream is nice under makeup, but now that my skin is so dry I need the extra lipids in the original Crème.

I am very happy with this cream! While it is pricey, I can attest that it did calm my skin pretty much right after application and brought any redness down. I just had an overall better appearance after I used this, I felt my skin had a blur to it, in a good way. I really love the smell, it’s just very clean and nourishing smelling. This is a wonderful cream for dry and combination skin, especially during the winter. It provides rich hydration and leaves my skin feeling soft and comfortable. My only complaint is the fragrance, which is much stronger than in the Soft Cream version. I wish it were a little lighter.
