Scarlet Poppy Cologne Intense with Tonka Bean

I fell in love when I first smelled this about 4 years ago and have purchased it ever since. More recently, I've purchased and returned this 3 times within 1 week, to 3 different stores because while the travel size still smells amazing, the larger bottles had absolutely no fragrance- just alcohol. I can buy alcohol for $1 at the discount store. I truly hope this is just a bad batch and not a new formula. I did bring this to the store employees attention who seemed baffled after smelling it and a Jo Malone representative who also agreed that it may be a bad batch but unfortunately for me, I don't think anyone is going to actually take action as I'm just a small voice

I’ve been wanting to add more Jo Malone scents to my collection, and Scarlet Poppy is by far one of my favorites so far. There’s something about this fragrance that just embodies elegance. It has a beautiful sweetness to it, but it’s not overly sweet or overpowering. It feels warm, sophisticated, and effortlessly luxurious. 🤍 What’s funny is that when I first sprayed it on myself in the store, I honestly wasn’t sure how I felt about it. At first, I was getting a mix of different scents and couldn’t really make sense of it. But something told me to trust the process and give it a chance. And I’m so glad I did. As soon as I got to my house and sprayed it again on my wrist, it was completely different. It smelled absolutely beautiful, and I genuinely couldn’t stop smelling it. It had that warm, sweet, elegant feeling I was looking for, and everything just came together perfectly. I’m still on the hunt for more scents from Jo Malone, but Scarlet Poppy has definitely set the bar high.

I haven’t been a big Jo Malone fragrance fan in the past, but this scent is truly perfection! Ambrette as a top note is so rare! It really starts off this addictive scent journey with a sweet, musky scent bubble. This perfume is slightly powdery but also sweet and spicy in the best way. I would say it smells slightly wintery and seasonal but I wear it year around and love to layer it with fruit scents in the summer. Orris and poppy make it slightly powdery in the best way. The sweetness from the honeyed fig is the star.And the dry down that is anchored by the warm tonka bean ! An incredibly unique fragrance that layers well with many of my perfumed or can be a stand alone signature scent!

Elegant, powdery and a bit tangy. I like it every once and awhile because of the powdery, poppy quality. The tangy scent is a bit strong for my taste. It dries down very soft and almost has an elegant, powdery, laundry quality to it.

I bought Jo Malone trial sizes bottles because I loved English pear and freesia but after trying Scarlett poppy I decided to buy the full size. I’m more in to floral fruity fresh scents but i never wore a fragrance like this before it’s warm, cozy and sexy. For me it’s the perfect scent for fall and winter. During summer I will prefer something more like English Pear and Freesia but for fall and winter I will wear Scarlett Poppy and Ginger Biscuit (which is a must during holiday season)

I’ve never heard anyone talk about this scent.. it’s so sexy, sultry and unisex. i’m obsessed- it’s like a vanilla, woody dream. please give it a go!

The most cozy, sexy, warm but fruity noted perfume without the harshness of any alcohol. It’s taken me a very long time to find something that fits ME. This will be my signature scent, completely worth the price.
