I can tolerate a lot when it comes to hair products, but this shampoo’s smell is on another level. I could barely get through washing my hair. The scent is so strong and so awful that it made the whole experience unpleasant.
This shampoo is NOT the same Oribe Silverati Shampoo that I love. If you are expecting the original beautiful silver formula, do not purchase. This new formula is not worth the money . It is white in color and runny.
I got this for my mom as a gift. She loves it so much!! Her hairstylist even complimented her and bought it after she brought it to the salon for her wash. It leaves her hair smooth and makes her grey hair looks even more beautiful!
I absolutely love this shampoo. I have natural silver hair, and Oribe Silverati is so much better than any purple shampoo I have ever tried.
I don't get the negative reviews, as this is one of my holy grails. Shampoo works best if it's a good fit for your specific hair type. I am mature with low-density/low-porosity, medium-texture, wavy hair prone to dryness/frizz. My natural color is white and gray. This shampoo brightens my hair, taking out the brassiness while leaving it shiny and healthy-looking. Natural silvers are problematic as it is. The shampoo is expensive, but worth it. This is NOT an incentivized review.
Horrible ! Smells like old tires. Dried my hair to a crisp. Darkened the silver. If you have silver hair you are better off getting the purple shampoo.
I had been using Oribe Bright Blonde for years AND I loved it. It smells so good and left my hair soft, bright, shiny, and without frizz. Now that my hair has become mostly white, I decided to switch to Silverati - and it is such a letdown. Does Oribe think white-haired people aren't worthy of good-smelling products? The Silverati shampoo and conditioner smell gross, like Oribe didn't consider the scent. The product also leaves my hair dull, dry, frizzy and smelling like Old. I can't use the rest of this product; very disappointing. So for these reasons, I would not recommend it.
Love this product. I was using Olaplex 4P, but it was staining my gray. I have a natural combination of smoky gray & platinum hair. This shampoo was fantastic for me. No staining & my color looked fabulous. conditioner regular
I have long, natural, cool leaning grey hair. Because grey hair doesn't have much natural shine to it and is prone towards dryness, I use products specifically to punch up the glistening silver while keeping my hair in good condition. Siverati was the worst product I ever used. Rather than containing blue or purple pigments to combat brassiness, it was a drab grey color that actually discolored my grey and left it with a very warm, unflattering cast to it. It also dried my hair out. I returned both the shampoo and conditioner after using the set just twice. I’ll stick to Blue Malva or Blond Absolu. They’re both far superior and leave the hairs in excellent condition.
I've tried a lot of purple shampoos and conditioners since I decided to embrace my silver about 15 years ago. Some are too purple and leave my hair tinted, and some dried out my hair. I decided to try this to see if it would keep my hair from yellowing while leaving my hair healthy and un-tinted. I didn't want to like it because of the price, but I'm in love. It makes my hair soft, shiny, and manageable with not a trace of purple or blue. I guess my hair needs the expensive stuff!
