This shampoo cleaned my hair nicely without over drying. I did not notice a smoothing or glossing effect, but I was glad that it didn't leave my hair greasy or with a film. There is a deal breaker for me, however. The fragrance. I usually like Pureology's shampoo and conditioner formulations and put up with the various fragrances, which have (until this one) been tolerable for me. (Still, I prefer no fragrance) But this one, gosh. It did not dissipate, and I kept smelling it off and on for 24 hours, all day and night, until I shampooed. For someone who likes a lasting fragrance AND likes this particular scent, it may be a good choice. If it didn't have the strong scent, I would have tried it again to continue my evaluation. But that's not going to happen. I'm glad I got the mini size. I'm going to give it to my sister, who lost her sense of smell due to Covid.
