Not for 4 hair type at all. Or even 3c. I had to use almost 1/3 of the jar just for my hair to sleek back and get it laid with a hair scarf. Was extremely difficult to work with, almost felt like a joke. Poor hold and poor frizz control. Horrible for sleek ponytails for 3c, 4 hair types
I use this for slicking back my hair, because my hair is fine and resists being told what to do…..and this is one of the few gels it obeys. This tub is huge and lasts forever.
I used this gel with the leave in and my hair smells so good and left such an amazing cast!
If you have super curly and thick hair, this gel works wonders. I never have to deal with flyaways or anything like that because this is a strong hold gel. I highly recommend it and I would say it lasts about 8 hours of my day.

I really like this product. The consistency is thick and the hold is as advertised (strong) but my hair doesn’t feel dry after using it. I used it with the styling custard, and my style feels hydrated, and looks sleek and juicy.
