Got this on a whim - I’ve tried lots of different wrinkle correctors to get rid of the fine lines under my eyes but this one ACTUALLY made a difference! No need for Botox here!!!

It’s hard for me to not write reviews as a physician so bear with me. Hexapeptide 8 is the new “it” ingredient that’s found in many plumping products these days. It’s known by a few names. It’s the closest topical ingredient to Botox so it’s in a lot of things from Paula’s Choice (Rescue and repair intensive moisturizer) to The Ordinary’s Argireline 10% solution. Same ingredient, different names. Do they work? Yes, for most people. It doesn’t last long though and if it’s not formulated properly it can leave a waxy residue. This product is decent. It would be better as a moisturizer but people love “targeted treatments” because it tricks the brain into spending more money if the ‘magic’ ingredient seems to be in stronger percentages. Is it going to do anything for wrinkles longterm? No. HA and squalane simply hydrate the skin so wrinkles appear more plump. Only things that actually fix wrinkles are Botox, fillers, laser treatments, retinoids and vitamin C. The rest just make them less noticeable and most companies do admit that as you can see when they say, “reduces the appearance of wrinkles.” This isn’t going to do anything longterm so don’t expect that. At most, it plumps lines for a few hours and hydrates. If you want to skip Botox, etc, use a retinoid 4x a week, increase your moisture and choose one with peptides (Peter Thomas Roth has one called skinjection that has this ingredient and more for a full plumping effect). I love Murad’s retinol and retinal. Throw in a vitamin C and broad spectrum sunscreen and you’ll see permanent changes. This product is a “fake it til you make it” product so if it works for you and makes you happy, that’s what matters. :)
When I use this days in a row- I notice a significant difference in my elevens and other creased areas. It also blurs the skin.
I have used this religiously for over 6 months with no visible improvement of my frown lines. It does smooth the lines in preparation for makeup but it doesn’t permanently correct fine lines.
Application is easy and feels sooo good. Results after a few weeks of everyday use.
This is the best eye cream I have ever used. It reduces the puffiness of my upper eyelid, and the area around my eyes is tightening and minimizing wrinkles. A must for aging eyes!
Murad products usually work for me however, this product within a couple of days gave me a crazy dry rash burn under my eyes. I’m not a sensitive person and I tend to use lots of acids. I regret using this!
