I've been using this product every single day for years—not weeks, not months, but YEARS. It is genuinely the best sunscreen I've ever used, and I absolutely love it. The matte finish is perfect for me. It doesn't leave my skin feeling greasy or sticky, and I can literally put on my blush and lipstick and walk out the door. It feels like skincare and sunscreen in one, without looking or feeling like a heavy sunscreen. I've tried other Shiseido sunscreens, including the newer clear-finish formulas, and they simply aren't the same for me. I love the finish and feel of THIS formula. I've already noticed that Shiseido discontinued the version with the white cast, and now I can't even find this specific SPF 42 formula on Shiseido's website. I'm genuinely worried that it's being phased out. Please don't discontinue this one. There are people who genuinely love this formula and have been loyal to it for years. Not every sunscreen needs to have a completely invisible or clear finish. Some of us actually prefer the way this one feels and looks on our skin. Please keep making this sunscreen! ❤️

Do not buy if you are brown it leaves a white cast.
been using this for a while now, and it’s the best sunscreen for super oily skin. helps with acne and very light feeling on skin. no white cast
It’s very expensive for such a small amount. But it does layer well with makeup. As for the gray cast, it is not long lasting. Give it a moment to absorb.
The reformulation is amazing. I have sensitive combination skin. absolutely no white cast either.
My holy grail sunscreen! I have oily skin so usually sunscreen makes me look greasy but I wear this one every day and no one would know!! It’s pricy but worth it for me.
I bought this after using the previous formula since I liked that formula. This formula left a visible white cast on my skin (I'm super pale) and I found it more oily than the previous formula even after letting it soak in. I used this formula daily for a couple weeks while on vacation and it badly broke me out.
This is my go-to sunscreen for my dry skin. It plays well with my vitamin C (Timeless), Dr Jart Ceramide Cream, and foundation. No pilling. I do not experience a white cast but I also have fair skin.
Make sure you check the expiration date, as Sephora sends expiring products. I ordered this back in November 2023 and the expiration date was Feb 2024 which gave me a 3 month window to use. I didn’t noticed till I was getting an allergic reaction from it in April 2024 and had purchased 3 bottles, 2 being unused yet Sephora wouldn’t honour an exchange. Pretty crazy how I was expected to use 3 bottles within 3 month time frame.
Smells good and doesn't leave a white cast on my white-light olive skin. I give it a 4-star because at the end of the day you can see creases where I smile with it but it's not that big of a deal
