what it does well...lengthen. other things it does well...it's flakey, clumpy going on, the brush is so hard its almost lethal.

The finish is gorgeous even the packaging, you can get a good grip while application however the bristles are spiky enough that when i poked my eyes accidentally, i need to get an eye drop from my Eye Dr. my bad. So i cant give 5 stars.

MAC Stack Waterproof mascara is a stackable very black mascara. It can build length and volume however it can get a little clumpy if you add too much. I like to comb out my lashes. I found that 1-2 coats was best for me. I love a waterprood mascara & this one holds curl well but a bit wet, weighs down a little as I have really stubborn lashes. Best for a fox eye type look. The brush is nice, I prefer it over a normal bristle brush. It had a spiked knob at the end to help get into inner and outer corners easier. My curled lashes held pretty well for 7+ hours, didn’t test it longer than that. Not the longest wear in a mascara but it does look nice and natural. My lashes weighed down a bit throughout wear. Not a complete flake proof mascara but does have build-ability so that wasn’t a huge problem for me. I also appreciated that the packaging was sturdy, the ball on the handle acts as an easier grip. Overall, I would recommend to those looking for a buildable lengthening and volumizing deep black mascara who don’t mind spending a bit more than your average drugstore mascara. It’s a good option as it does provide great volume. I love waterproof mascaras and this is a good option if volume is your priority. Lengthening is good & holds a curl decently well. I was really looking forward to this one working well. But, once again I have raccoon eyes and flakes of mascara in my eyeballs. This stuff didn’t even last three hours on me. I think that like as soon as I had applied it, it started to get on my under eye area. And I let it dry! I have wicked long natural lashes, but that shouldn’t be an excuse for everything to get in my skin! HELP! I need to find one that actually does what it says!

I had been looking for a great, not just good, but great waterproof mascara for years. I've tried YSL, Too Faced, and Urban Decay. I think I found my Holy Grail waterproof mascara. MAC's Stack Smudge-Proof Volumizing + Lengthening Waterproof Mascara. I love that one to two applications get you good coverage on your lashes. I like to 'super stack' it - I apply 15 to 20 coats and my lashes look A-MA-ZING! By applying that many coats with this mascara, my real lashes look like falsies, which I love the look for when I need a more dramatic eye. Also, I've been swimming a lot this summer and MAC's mascara doesn't run, stays put, and I don't have racoon eyes in the Arizona summer heat. I highly recommend.

This mascara unfortunately is awful, it left horrible smudging under my eyes from transfer wearing it throughout the day and I found the wand shape to be awkward

I’ve been using the waterproof version of the M·A·CStack Mascara every day for about a week now, and overall I’m really impressed with it. The first thing I noticed was how buildable it is — one coat gives a more natural, lifted look, but adding extra coats made my lashes look noticeably fuller and longer without getting super clumpy. I also liked that the formula held a curl all day, even during humid weather and long days out. Since it’s waterproof, it stayed put really well and didn’t smudge under my eyes, which is usually a problem for me with other mascaras. The brush is also great for reaching smaller lashes in the corners without making a mess. One downside is that it can feel a little difficult to remove at the end of the day, even with makeup remover, so I had to be careful not to rub my eyes too much. After layering several coats, it also started to feel slightly heavy on my lashes. Still, for a waterproof mascara, it gives a really pretty dramatic look while lasting all day, and I can definitely see myself continuing to use it. M·A·C Stack Smudge-Proof Volumizing + Lengthening Waterproof Mascara has been my go-to for a couple of weeks now and with good reasons! It's an intense black mascara with a comb that grabs individual lashes with ease to build volume and length. My lashes don't weigh down when I apply it and, because of the formula being waterproof, it holds the curl and shape after a full day of wear. It's so comfortable and lightweight without enduring that feeling of stiff lashes that other waterproof mascaras have given me in the past. Also, amazed that even on the most humid and hot days, there was no fear of smudging at all! A breeze to remove with micellar water and/or oil cleanser/balm. Such a unique mascara wand. The bristles actually separate each of my eyelash. It didn’t clump. Used it in the morning. My eyes were not watery not itching from it. It washes off effortlessly.
