I wanted to like this but after two months of using this with a small break, I now can confirm this breaks me out. I thought it was purging bc of another switch in products, but oh no it’s a bad breakout/rash.
I would compare this favorably with Skinceuticals discoloration defense. This product gave me overnight results after my very first use in significantly fading both old and new PIE and PIH from acne. My skin looked much more even in the morning than it has in a long time. I look forward to seeing if it can fade these marks totallly over time. It appeared to slightly fade a couple of freckles/small sunspots as well.
I’m not one to spend over $30-50 on skincare, but over the course of 2 months I can say this was well worth it. I had mild acne scarring and sun spots (congested skin) and found using this every morning and adapalene at night made a notable difference within one month. After two months my skin tone is much more even and bright, and I feel more confident going without makeup.
I have been using this pretty consistently for about 5 weeks now and have noticed a slight change in my overall complexion. Im more evenly toned. Super light weight cream texture & doesnt pill under make up which i love. If your concerns are lightening up acne scarring or sever huperpigmentation id look elsewhere tho as i feel maybe this may not be strong enough to actually do that
Feels great on my skin! It does calm down the redness on my face after washing and applying my other skincare items to my face, especially the big cysts on my face. One less step needed for my makeup!
They should have kept the original formula. I don't know why brands feel the need to change something that ain't broken. Please save your money. I'm a hard-die fan of PTR. But they changed the formula of the regular niacinamide; I was hesitant, but I wanted to trust them. Here I am; my face keeps breaking out. I stopped and came back to it since I had spent so much money. Now my face is so bad when it was clear before with no pimples. I barely broke out before. Now I think it's time I switch brands. The same thing with their vitamin C. I have used this brand for over three years now. It's time to say goodbye because it's not worth it. And come back to it again and try it again since I spent so much
