Caviar Extravagant Volumizing & Lengthening Mascara

I don’t understand the reviews saying this is waterproof. Granted I put it through the ringer doing Muay Thai in Thailand, but I also took a non-waterproof mascara which held up better. You can tell it’s not waterproof by how it washes off (doesn’t have that gritty feeling genuinely waterproof mascaras have). I checked Laura Mercier’s website directly and they only claim this is surge proof, not waterproof. I suspect the other reviewers haven’t tested this in situations where they need a truly waterproof mascara.

i like this mascara but it's too dry for a new product. they should make the formula wetter because it's hard to spread evenly on the lashes. however, once it's built up, it's beautiful. i am puzzled as to why the description says it's waterproof— i think it's water RESISTANT but not waterpoof. water definitely makes it run.

This mascara did not live up to the Laura Mercier reputation. Came out of the tube rather dry and went on clumpy. I was expecting a quality product, maybe I just got a bad one, but will be returning. but was very disappointed. Will return and go back t to RMS to

It's great for building volume, but absolutely NOT waterproof. It was hot outside, and I noticed black residue under my eyes. I had no other make-up on. It can also easily be washed off with water.

I wanted to like this because online it said it was waterproof. I have oily lids so I need waterproof mascara. Application added nice volume and length, however, within 2hrs I had raccoon eyes. Returned.

This mascara is *barely* waterproof. It’s the most annoying kind because it won’t fully come off with a regular face wash but it sure came off quick the second water got into my snorkel mask. Not only that but it stung like crazy when I got it in my eyes, whether during application, sweating during the day or when it all came off the second it came into contact with water.

I really love this mascara. I usually have a hard time finding a mascara that works for me. This didn’t get clumpy on my lashes, and did a great job with giving me volume and length. I will continue to use this product daily.

I loved this product! I really enjoyed the length and volume this gave me. I do have pretty long and full lashes anyway, so I can’t speak to how it works for those with shorter or finer lashes. The biggest perk for me though was the lack of smudging. I always struggle with smudging or transferring around the corners of my eyes and I found this product to give me minimal issues. I would definitely recommend.

Not exactly a volumizing mascara. Was hoping for a better formula. Also fakes through-out the day. Great for a light natural morning look.
