I love this Nars Lip Oil!
Having read many of the reviews, both good and not so good, I decided to order NARS Afterglow Sheer Hydrating Lip Oil, color 500 Faraway. I must preface the following due to the fact I am 81 years old, which certainly has a great deal to do with the remainder of my review. I love it. Although most here are not even close to my age, there are still qualities this lip oil has to offer for those of any age. There is no bleeding, no color residue left on cups, utensils, or my husband's lips. Granted, as some reviews point out, the color does diminish rather quickly if eating, drinking, or kissing, but the moisture remains, as does a hint of color. In consideration of my age, it had been quite a while since I used any lipstick at all, and I tried many. Therefore, a simple moisturizer was my choice. This lip oil is a game-changer for me, and it will be a mainstay.

Very pretty—and not sticky!
This lip oils feels like proper oil on my lips- it is smooth and buttery. It is not sticky at all. It also does not dry out my lips. I will apply it and hours later still have some on. I have it 4 stars because the colour was not as pigmented as I was hoping, or what you would think it would be from the container. Overall, it is lovely.

I found the colour really disappointing - a lip oil should be sheer of course, but it's REALLY sheer. Maybe it's just not the colour for me, but it's next to invisible on my lips and I can't differentiate the shimmer from regular lip oil shine. I also got it in Laguna and that one is far more in line with what I expected. Colour aside, I do really like wearing it. Feels nice and lasts a while, and I keep coming back to it. It's my second favourite lip oil, and probably would be on top if the colour gave anything
