Hair Type: Thick, Curly & Coily Concerns: Frizz, Heat Damage, Lack of Volume I’ll be honest—this tool had a learning curve. I have very thick, textured hair with loose curls on top and tight coils underneath, and I’ve literally set off smoke detectors while blow-drying in the past (more than once). So I was skeptical—and fully expected this to be another overhyped, overpriced styling tool. The first time I used it? Disaster. Major frizz, zero control, and my hair looked like I stuck my finger in an electrical socket. But by the third use? Total transformation. I achieved a smooth, frizz-free, high-shine blowout with incredible volume—without needing to follow up with a flat iron. My hair looked professionally styled, and for once, felt soft instead of scorched. What I loved: - Blowout brush attachment: Gentle, no pulling or snagging (a first for my hair type). - Smoothing attachment: Replaced my flat iron completely. - Barrel attachment: Took a little practice, but once I got the hang of it, it was quick and easy to use. The curls STAYED! If you have thick, curly, or coily hair and you’ve struggled to find a styling tool that actually works—this is it. I’m genuinely impressed, and it’s now a staple in my routine.

4B/4A Hair Perspective As someone with 4B to 4A natural hair, I’ve tried a lot of tools—but the Dyson Airwrap ID gives me the straightest, sleekest blow dry I’ve ever achieved at home. The smoothing dryer attachment alone makes my hair look like I just stepped out of a salon. There is a bit of a learning curve with the round brush attachment, but once you get the hang of it, the results are impressive. I was able to create a voluminous, bouncy blowout that mimicked a round-brush salon finish without needing to be a pro. The ID curl feature is still a work in progress for me. I followed the tutorial, but the personalized curl settings didn’t quite give the results I was expecting. That said, I was still able to create defined curls with a little manual adjustment. Overall, the Airwrap ID is 100% worth it for me. It’s the first tool that helps me get a smooth, blown-out look with minimal heat damage and without needing multiple passes. If you’re looking for a way to style textured hair with versatility and ease, this is it.
I will only buy a blow dryer with attachments and this one has so many to choose from. I can blow it out, do wand curls diffuse my wash and go. It’s everything I need as a natural hair girly. The attachments also securely stay on the device and I have had no issues with them coming off while styling my hair. 10/10
This Airwrap is EVERYTHING! The ceramic pink is gorgeous, let’s talk about the attachments pros for curly/coily hair. • Conical Airwrap™ Barrel – This gives the most beautiful curls! You can create a mix of looser and tighter curls whichever you prefer. • Large Round Volumizing Brush – It adds so much volume at the roots and helps smooth out the ends. • Wide-Tooth Comb – A must-have for curly and coily hair! Great for detangles and stretching the hair without causing breakage. Prefect for getting that length you are looking for instead of shrinkage • Diffuser – probably my favorite as I diffuse more often than straightening my hair. It dries without causing frizz and keeps the curls bouncy. • Firm Smoothing Brush – This is my go-to for stretching and smoothing. It doesn’t make my hair stiff or flat. • Fast Dryer – Gets the job done QUICK especially because It takes my hair long to dry and it is great for when I’m busy. • Presentation Case – Not an attachment, but it’s super nice for keeping everything organized and looking cute on my vanity
First of all, the color is beautiful — it looks so sleek and luxe. This Airwrap is amazing. It dries my hair fast and makes styling so much easier. I love all the attachments, especially the round brush — it dries and straightens my hair super efficiently and works really well on both my extensions and my natural coily hair. The only thing I’m not totally sold on is the barrel size it comes with. It’s a bit smaller than I’d like, so I’ll probably buy a bigger one. But overall, I’m obsessed. This has completely replaced my other blow dryers.
