Volume Mousse 12 for Medium Hold

I received this product complimentary for review, but all opinions are my own. I don't normally use a mousse, but I found that I really enjoyed this one! I love a good volumizing product and this one really did the trick, without leaving my hair sticky or heavy. It also helped create beautiful waves, with a really good hold that wasn't stiff. Great price too, $21 is really reasonable for a professional quality product that's full size.

I received this volume mousse for free to test, and while the formula felt lightweight, it created more texture than lift for my hair. It left my roots feeling slightly gritty, similar to a mild dry shampoo, but when I did a rough blow-dry, my hair actually looked flatter than before. I can see this working better for someone with curly or wavy hair who needs extra grip to enhance natural lift. For my straight hair, the volume payoff just wasn’t there. It’s not a bad product, just not one I’d reach for often since I didn’t see much improvement in root volume. Next day hair felt very dry and stiff using just the standard amount in my hair. I honestly wouldn’t recommend this product to clients or friends, as I’ve used others with more lift without the gritty feeling.

Boy, does my fine and straight hair love this volume mousse! This product has totally changed the game when it comes to my styling routine. My hair can finally hold a curl, and I find myself using this mousse in so many different circumstances. I love to concentrate a good amount in my roots and bring it down into the ends. I apply it to wet hair and blow dry with my hair upside down, and either style it by curling it or my favorite way of styling my hair lately has been doing heatless curls. Regardless of the styling method, my curls now last all day when before they only last a few hours or so. It smells great and doesn’t dry out my hair. Plus, who doesn’t love a fun mousse! This has been the best mousse I’ve used! For someone who had fine and flat hair, this has been such a great and super beneficial styler! It has a very clean and pleasant scent that doesn’t overwhelm when worn. Only a little bit of product is needed when using this! I was able to section my hair off into 3-4 parts and just add a small amount to my root and then blow dry and style like normal. This volume mousse doesn’t weight my hair down throughout the day either! It kept my roots high and lifted off my head, so I wasn’t having to readjust and fix my hair again later on. I am so grateful to have received this product to try out in exchange for my honest review! I am so happy to get to add this to my new regular routine!

I’ve been using this mousse before I use heat on my hair because it has heat protectant in it. It also helps me use less hair spray. Kept my waves lasting all day and didn’t leave my hair crunchy like other mousse I’ve tried.

As a very long time beauty enthusiast this mousse has really impressed me! It really gives my hair the volume it desperately needs. It doesn’t leave my hair feeling crunchy or hard like others I’ve tried. It leaves my hair extremely soft. It definitely has a nice hold to it so it keeps your style in place all day. It works if I choose to have my hair curly or a blowout. Overall I highly recommend this mousse if you’re a mousse lover.

I use volume mousse every time when I style my hair because my fine hair has almost no natural volume. If I curl it without mousse, the curls fall flat quickly. With this mousse, they last longer and look fuller. I also love how lightweight the texture is: it doesn’t weigh my hair down or make it sticky. I’ve tried so many styling products and mousses from different brands, and it’s really hard to impress me because fine hair can be tricky and most products either make it stiff or heavy.
