This is a very true 3 star product….they almost have it but need to try again. I have been using this since I got it during the sale in April so it’s been a while. I have been highlighting my hair for 18 years now and have tried a number of purple shampoos. My favorite to give me my cool tone blonde (I have cool tone skin/blue eyes so warmer tones of blonde look terrible on me) is the Shu Eumura. It is very expensive so I decided to try this slightly more affordable option. It does a superb job of removing any brassiness and really leaves my hair a gorgeous cool blonde. I just hate the experience. I have to pump a very large amount to cover all my hair (and I have fine, medium/longish hair) and it doesn’t really lather that much so my hair just feels kind of heavy and dirty afterward. Because of the foam, it leaks into the cap and when I take it off it flings purple onto my nice white curtain. It does feel slightly dry but I find that all purple shampoos make my hair dry to a degree. Hoping they turn this into an actual shampoo or somehow create more lather to cleanse the hair because it does have great color payoff.

Not the best for natural gray/white hair. Definitely leaves a purple tint. Resolved this by mixing with a non purple shampoo, and rinsing quickly. I do notice some improvement from brassiness. I like the foam. A little drying, I won’t buy again but it is a good product just better for people with color treated hair it would seem.
I followed the directions, this did not work for me. I have used a lot of purple shampoos and this didn’t work. My hair is as brassy as it was before k18 purple shampoo treatment, a bit shocked to not see even a little cooling, my hair usually takes purple shampoo quickly and noticeably. Fine, curly bleached hair.
After having dark hair for the longest time now I went a lot lighter and I needed a purple shampoo. So I went with the K18 line. This works amazingly good! Brightened to the correct level without looking dull. It’s so nice to be blinder again and the grassiness just gets taken away with a wash!
Like other reviews, my hair did feel drier after using. This was easily remedied though with a hair mask and some oil. I struggle with hard water discoloring my hair and feel like this has helped! I love that it doesn’t leave my hair purple.
I wish I took a before picture, because this shampoo removed some much brassiness/golden tone. I have tried Olaplex and Kerastase, this k18 is elite. Perfect color and leaves my hair so much softer than the others!
Was blond before using this shampoo, it removes yellow and white colors. My hair look very dark after, without blond. Do not recommend, especially for this price. 10$ any purple shampoo is better.
K18 products are the best, and their purple shampoo is no exception. Best purple shampoo I’ve ever used!!
genuinely one of the best purple shampoo products i have ever used!!!! so innovative too being a foam <3 people who are saying it’s drying to their hair are not using the product properly. definitely an investment, but i don’t regret my purchase at all
I first apply this in my wet hair in shower, then I add my regular shampoo & let sit for 4 minutes. it does brighten my hair. I make sure to use a conditioning mask & leave that in for 4 minutes because I find purple shampoos tend to dry my hair.
