Used to love the silkening shampoo for years and loved, the new formulation is absolutely horrific. It gave me a rash and clogged my pores, my hair was yellow and lifeless after wash and the smell made me gag. The smell doesn't wash off either. I don't recommend if you have sensitive skin and don't like strong smells. Or yellow blonde hair.
Phenomenal. Finally a chelating shampoo that isn’t too harsh for my heavily highlighted hair! Even though it’s a purplish-grey hue, it doesn’t dull my blonde if I use it weekly and my hair accepts conditioner SO MUCH BETTER since I began using this shampoo. I was suffering from tons of breakage and my highlights would always look brassy/dull 2 weeks after getting them refreshed; but the newly reformulated Heart of Glass shampoo combined with the Heart of Glass conditioner, plus using the mask once weekly before the conditioner, has made a major change in my hair. My stylist couldn’t believe how healthy my hair looked after just three weeks! This review is NOT incentivized…if anything, I’m usually a big critic. I bought these products with my own money.
I hate the new formulation. It Burns my scalp and my eyes and dries out my hair. I'm so sad because I loved the old formulation and have been using it since it came out. But I definitely have to switch shampoos now, and I'm returning this
a natural blonde sometimes I feel like my hair is always out to get me. This shampoo however being specifically for blondes feels like it’s a perfect fit. It nourishes my hair while also not diminishing the blonde color. I do have some balayage highlights so I’m nervous about losing color, but I haven’t had any issue since using this shampoo. I do a scrub and then a rewash to make sure my scalp is getting clean and I have zero complaints!!
As a busy mom of two, I need hair products that work quickly and actually deliver results, this has been amazing. My blonde can start to look dull from hard water, but this shampoo leaves it looking brighter and fresher without feeling dry or stripped. It cleans thoroughly while still making my hair feel soft and silky, which I love. A little goes a long way, and it’s truly helped keep my color looking healthy, so glad I tried.
I love the scent of this! Since I skip a couple days in between washes I appreciate this product so much for cleaning all the build up and products without destroying my color. Recommend for blondes (especially those who do dry shampoo!)
This shampoo for blonde hair feels quite different from most toning shampoos I have used because it is not the typical deep purple color. It feels much gentler and less aggressive, which I really appreciate. The scent is pleasant and soft, not overpowering and it creates a light lather that rinses out easily. After washing, my hair feels clean but not stripped or dry, which can often happen with blonde shampoos. It leaves my hair soft and comfortable without that squeaky, over cleansed feeling. I also really enjoy the retro style packaging, which looks beautiful in the bathroom. It is made in Italy and overall it feels like a very thoughtful, well-balanced product.
I recently had my hair colored back to bright blond and it felt pretty damaged so I splurged on this. My hair is a world of difference since using it. The only reason I gave it 4 is the smell is so so strong! It’s great but it’s like using a full perfume on your head. If you are not used to or don’t like intense smell I might try something else but the product is truly great otherwise.
I had a sample. It seemed nice. at this price I i thought I was getting the best shampoo out there. the packaging is beautiful and impressive. after reading reviews I now know why I have bumps On the back of my scalp, which I never, ever had before. I just gave it a try again today and the bumps are back so there must be something in there that some of us are having a reaction to. What a shame.
This shampoo changed everything for me! I couldn’t wait to give it a try. I have bleached hair and it truly helps to get rid of any build up, and residue from hard water. It really balances the tones in my hair and I really love it!
