SOOTHE - Hydrating Milky Toner with Ectoin

This is an okay toner but honestly not my favorite. I have acne-prone skin that tends to need some extra moisture and hydration without being too heavy. Sephora Soothe Hydrating Milky Toner does a good job at hydrating my skin but has a bit of a strange smell- almost like glue? While using this toner my skin did feel smooth, without irritation and it didn't clog my pores but its not a toner I feel like I would reach for specifically. Overall its an okay product and would work well for those seeking a general/ simple type of toner. Product was received as a part of an educational promotion.

Made my skin feel itchy but I have very sensitive skin and rosacea. I didn’t find it all that hydrating either. The smell is off-putting for me. A synthetic, plasticky smell, however I understand that no fragrance added products can have weird smells. but yhis one

I really liked this toner. It feels lightweight on my skin and doesn't burn like others have. I use it with a cotton round and I do notice it cleans my face. Good for oily skin!

The Sephora Hydrating Milky Toner is a nice product overall product. It is a much more affordable milky toner than other popular brands. The consistency of the toner is very thick and creamy, almost that of a thin moisturizer. For my skin, this was too thick and my pores on my nose seemed to get clogged after using consistently for a few days which I have never experienced with a milky toner. It also seemed to have a hard timer absorbing into my skin. My skin did have less redness after use. I appreciated that the toner is not scented; however, it smells so bad. It has a strange chemical smell that lingers for quite some time. I wanted to love this toner so much but for me it is a miss. If you like a thicker milky toner and your skin tolerates it, this would be a good product to try.

Definitely took some time to get used to the consistency and in my experience toners are always more on the spray on or full liquidy but this one had a bit of body to it. Definitely hydrating though. Would recommend applying with clean bare hands

I'll get the critique out of the way--the smell. Yes, the other reviews are accurate in stating it has an off-putting scent at first smell. It is reminiscent of a hot glue gun, so not the best. However, genuinely that is my only critique of this toner. Outside of the smell, this is actually one of the best milky toners I've used. I've started to grab more for this toner over my thayers milky toner, which I love (so it says a lot!). The consistency and texture is thicker, which I actually like and prefer and it sits INCREDIBLY well underneath my makeup, giving me that glow and hydrated skin-like finish I go for on a "no makeup" makeup look day. Despite the smell, I'll continue using this in my daily routine, especially on days where I'm doing makeup.

The bottle has a clean aesthetic look and the compact size makes it easy to keep on a shelf or toss in a bag. It provides an immediate boost of hydration that leaves my skin feeling very soft and comfortable without any greasy residue. I really like that it is tolerable for both morning and evening use which keeps things simple. One standout feature for me is the texture because it leaves my hands feeling soft and not sticky at all during application. I have noticed while using this nightly that I wake up feeling face refreshed and soft throughout the day. I will say the scent is a bit unpleasant as it has a kind of plasticy smell that is noticeable but it does linger for a bit even when it is absorbed. The milky formula feels like a hybrid between a toner and a light essence which is great for maintaining a healthy skin barrier on your own time. Whether you are just getting into skincare or looking for an affordable and effective staple this toner provides a consistently great hydrated finish.

Not bad, but honestly not great. I have used way more hydrating milky toners that were also affordable, and they had a better feel, smell and felt nicer under makeup.

I LOVE this toner! It’s a great alternative to some more expensive toners. The consistency is thinner than Rhode (also doesn’t have coconut like Rhode so it won’t break you out) and is thicker than Laniege so you can FEEL the long lasting hydration. Helped give my skin a smoother, more balanced texture immediately after application. Wears well under makeup too.

This milky toner just wasn’t my favorite. The texture is nice and lightweight, and it feels comfortable on the skin, but I didn’t notice any real difference in my skin after using it. It’s supposed to help with hydration and redness, but for me, the results were very minimal. As someone who’s tried other milky toners, I’ve definitely used better ones that give more noticeable hydration and overall skin improvement. This one just felt like an extra step that didn’t really add much to my routine. I didn’t experience any irritation, so it’s gentle and would probably work well for someone with more sensitive or beginner skin. But for me, it just wasn’t enough. I’ll probably pass this along to someone who needs something simple, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to repurchase it.
