Nude Awakening Hydrating Medium Coverage Concealer

uuuugh I wanted to love this so bad, because I'd heard wonderful things, it sounds like a product that was designed for me (concealer/complexion crossover), and the shade match was the best I've ever had. But..... It goes on weirdly (immediately highlights all of my pores, and I never see my pores), looks cakey, and separates quickly - moreso than any other product I've used. What's bizarre is that I see the weird cakey texture in the photos from the other reviews too, and from people who LOVE it and say the finish is natural and invisible. But it doesn't look natural/invisible during application, and it Definitely doesn't look natural/invisible at the end of the day. After a few weeks of denial, I will be returning. oh AND I love the doe foot + brush combo applicator, and the incredible packaging... sigh

I wanted to love this concealer so bad but unfortunately it was terrible. It kept separating regardless of skin prep ! I tried with and without primer , I switched my skin care products up as well and it was still separating so BADLY around my mouth. I set it with different powders to see if it was that and still nothing. I was so excited to see Marc come back with his beauty line but unfortunately I was not WOWED by this particular product.

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] The Marc Jacobs Nude Awakening Concealer is decent. The applicator is different than what I’m used to. It’s not a standard doe foot. It actually is more like a brush with dense bristles. The formula is a little watery but it’s buildable and I definitely needed to go over it more than once to get the coverage that I needed. It lasted throughout the day, so that was decent. I don’t think I’d go out of my way to buy it again, but it is certainly fine to work with.

Cute package, practical applicator, great coverage … it is also very hydrating on my dry under eye skin and Incan stretch it with a bit of moisturizer to tint my entire fave for natural coverage. It is so good.

I received this product in exchange for my honest review. I know Mark Jacobs because of their perfume line, but now that I got to try their concealer I have to say that it was great. The packaging is very girly and it has a Daisy. I love it, and the consistency of the makeup is of quality. The applicator is a small brush, which I like it makes it easy to apply and blend. For the amount of time the concealer was on my face It was not cakey, and I applied it very natural.

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] I like this formula, it blends very well and a little bit goes a long way. The color is a bit too light for me and kinda bleached me out but overall I made it work. It does blend very well and doesn’t cake. I live in a hot and dry climate and I found that it didn’t further dry my skin out. The applicator is like a fine stiff brush. I liked it for the payoff but it’s not the softest brush and didn’t like using it directly on my skin. I just dapped the product into my hand and applied it with the head of my hand. That seemed to have melted the product into my skin a bit better. I really don’t like to look like I’m obviously wearing makeup so I have this process of applying product with my hands and then using a tissue to dab it off. This picture is the final result of doing that process which makes the product look more natural on my skin. I didn’t notice a scent either. No irritation after multiple weeks of use.

I received this product in exchange for my honest review. I got a lighter shade that I hope will fit me better over the winter. Right now it makes me look a little pale so I applied a little powder over it. It looks great and definitely highlights my face without the sparkles. Very light texture and I really liked the application brush. I have never seen that type of a brush on a concealer before and it made application pretty easy. It lasts all day with the powder on.

I love reaching for this concealer when I’m getting ready, unfortunately this shade is a little too dark for me but I mix it with my other products and it is a beautiful seamless blend. I wish there were more in between colors because the one below is still a little dark and the one after is way too light. Hoping MJ expands the shade range soon!

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] This concealer has become my absolute favorite of mine and I can honestly say the finish is just beautiful and natural. It gives that fresh, skin like look without feeling heavy and cakey. What I love the most is how hydrating it is. It blends so effortlessly, whether I use my fingers, brush, or a beauty sponge. I wore it for a whole day, and it stayed put beautifully, it’s truly long wear, no creasing and no patchiness, and it still looked fresh in the evening. The most amazing thing is the skin care inside it. It contains niacinamide and hyaluronic acid, so it not only covers , also cares my skin. Plus it has no fragrance which i really appreciate as my skin can be quite sensitive. It can be use both as concealer and as a foundation and I personally love using it as a foundation. It gives beautiful coverage, natural and flawless. And shout out to the packaging , it’s just beautiful and feels so luxurious.
