Forever Velvet Veil Blurring & Pore-Refining Matte Primer SPF 15

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] I like this Dior makeup primer, but I don't love it. It does work well, it is blurring and matte and it feels great on my skin with no gross scent, but there is nothing that is standout or special about it when compared to products that do the same thing for half the price. At $54, this feels more like you are paying for the name brand than anything else.

This Dior Forever Velvet Veil-Makeup primer - Blurring matte finish - is a great primer. It makes my makeup look flawless and really does last all day and night. It’s magic how flawless my skin looks with this and multiple people compliment my skin when I use this primer so it works. It makes my pores look like I have a filter on it’s so good. It does not feel heavy either unlike some other primers. Also with this primer I don’t have to use as much as I do with some of my other ones so this bottle should last for a while. Overall this primer slays and has great wear, I would recommend it.

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] I have used many primers and find this one lives up to the claims. It’s blurring & mattifying without making the skin look dull or flat. There’s still natural luminous glow without the greasiness which I usually get in my t-zone especially in the summer. It has also has SPF. The texture is velvety smooth, lightweight, blurs out the pores and extends makeup wear. There’s a mild rose scent which all of the dior products have and I’m a fan of. Highly recommended!

It goes on like a soft weightless veil and instantly smooths the skin without feeling heavy or silicone stick . This primer makes great pilling and not drying my skin. The finish is beautifully velvety it blurs pores, evens out texture, and makes my foundation apply much more seamlessly. What I love most is that it keeps my makeup looking fresh for hours without drying out my skin. It feels luxurious, performs well, and genuinely elevates the whole makeup routine.

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] My combo skin has been an oil slick lately and this keeps me shine-free all day. I prefer wearing it alone because it does have a tendency to pill and dealing with pilling foundation is more annoying than pilling on bare skin. I’ve found the key is to wait a good half hour after applying my skincare before i go in with this otherwise pilling is inevitable. I usually enjoy fragrance in skincare/makeup products and am not particularly sensitive to scents, but the fragrance used in this is quite strong. It’s not a dealbreaker for me, but if you are sensitive to fragrance, i could see that being an issue. The other thing that might be an issue is for those with very fair cool-toned skin. There’s a warm peachy hue to this that’s undetectable on my face when i’m tan, but when i patch tested on the pale inner side of my arm, it was more noticeable. To be completely honest, while this primer does mattify and blur as promised, there’s just a few too many cons to justify the price. When you look at the alternatives in this price range, I can’t confidently recommend this one over the rest.

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] Wow, this primer is PERFECT!!! It is so velvety and applies evenly throughout your skin and feels so soft to touch. It is lightweight, you can barely notice it. Has a good coverage and smells great! Almost like their Dior Crystal Clear perfume. Definitely one of the best ones I have tried so far.

I also like to use it without foundation to blur and help with my pores. I don’t wear Dior foundation but definitely considering trying it with this primer.

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] I really enjoyed this primer! It has the texture of a silicone primer so it fills pores but still feels lightweight. I am blown away that it has sunscreen in it because it does not feel greasy at all. It truly helps my makeup apply better and last longer throughout the day. The fragrance is a little overpowering but I will give that a pass because you don’t notice it after a while. Very cute packaging as well.

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] This primer completely blurs my large pores and helps my oily skin stay matte! It has a pretty thick consistency but is easily blended. It’s a good size and i can tell it will last a long time because a little goes a long way. I love to pair it with the Charlotte Tilbury air brush setting spray and Laura Mercier loose powder.

A little goes a long way, so you really only need a pea size amount. My only complaint is that you need to shake the bottle before squeezing out the primer, otherwise it will come out liquidy.
