Do i find it as tasty as the regular creamy wheat? Personally no. But it's still pretty tasty and a great gluten-free option! Bob's Red Mill is a go-to brand and this is a great price for a 1lb bag. I make it with soy milk to add a bit more protein and it comes out nice and creamy.
Only 4 ingredients: brown rice, corn, sorghum and buckwheat. Cooks in 10 minutes. 4g of protein for 1/4 c (one serving). I boost the protein by adding seeds, nuts, fruits and almond milk after it's cooked. The expiration date was more than 1 yr in the future, so it's fresh.
I had originally found this at the grocery store. Wouldn’t you know they quit carrying it! I was quite disappointed….. I checked out IHerb to see what exactly they sold….They offered just about everything by Bob’s Red Mill 👍 I felt like it was Christmas! If you haven’t tried it yet, you really need to — YUM 😊
I find the taste and texture to be unique, rich, smooth, and comforting. I love the addition of rice and corn for a toothsome, almost gelly texture. It goes well with various toppings like butter, brown sugar, berries, whatever you like. The only downside, it does not really have protein like oats do. Not everyone would care for the texture but you may like to try it. Great for gluten-free needs.
My favourite cereal for my baby’s breakfast. I recommend it. Its good quality, nice ingredients, good size and taste.
