My 83 years old mother had acid reflux and constipation issues for a long time. We visited different doctor and specialist, including TCM. Non of these helped. Our last resort is a dietician. The dietician recommended Steel Cut Oats. Along with other supplements my mother's acid reflux and constipation issues are gone. She feels more energetic now.

I have recently moved back to Sweden and while I was living in the US (27 years) I lived 21 of those years in close proximity to Bob's Red Mill headquarters in Milwaukie which is a suburb of Portland (yes that's how's it's spelled). I have been there several times, they serve very good breakfasts. I can get local steelcut oates in Sweden but they are not as good so I bought 2 large bags and had them shipped from the US. Not cheap but well worth it. I only use them for a delicious oatmeal/porridge with dried cranberries, dried blueberries, raisins and walnut pieces. I use cardemon, ceylon cinnamon in the oatmeal and it's heavenly with a touch of Canadian maple syrup and milk when served. Highly recommended.
Have this every morning for breakfast! A great value, the texture's spot on, too...not too mushy. Who knew that this steel cut could make all the difference, and it comes in a nice big and sealable bag.
Chewy texture and great oat flavor. Perfect for a filling breakfast. Takes a bit longer to cook but worth it for the quality.
I've bought these many times. I've never found any impurities in the oats, which can be an issue with steel cut oats. They're nice and chewy and full of fiber. I use 75g of oats to 11.5oz of water and don't bother boiling the water first on its own, which makes a good-sized bowl and turns out well. Their recommended serving size is very small and doesn't include enough water, IMO.
Delicious and healthy. Not too much harder to prepare than the regular stuff.
I love these high quality steel cut oats with a minimal, 1 ingredient composition. they taste great when soaked and cooked overnight in my rice cooker: I add double as much water as called for for an exceptionally creamy and soft porridge. my kids like to use it too and I feel better having them eat oats in this form than some of the more processed ones that market to kids
I like this steel cut oats so much! This tastes so good and the quality is good. It is very healthy that it adds fibre to our diet! I simply add it to my morning yoghurt bowl or overnight oatmeal. Sometimes, I use it to make muffins or cake. I’ll keep buying this!
These steel cut oats have become the cornerstone of my weekday breakfasts. They have a hearty, nutty flavor and a satisfying chew that keeps me full all morning, unlike the mushy instant kinds. Sure, they take a bit longer to cook, but I've found that making a big batch on Sunday sets me up for the whole week. It's a simple, wholesome staple that genuinely makes me feel like I'm starting my day right.
As a long-time breakfast enthusiast who’s tried every oat variety under the sun, this oat has has earned a permanent spot in my rotation. Whole kernel oats chopped into hearty steel-cut pieces with nothing added or processed out. I love the fresh, toasty aroma and robust texture—no fillers, no preservatives, just pure oats that hold their shape and nutty flavor through cooking. The packaging seals the deal: a robust, resealable stand-up bag that stands on the shelf and keeps moisture out, ensuring freshness. I love how versatile this is. I usually simmer them into a classic Irish-style porridge with a splash of almond milk and cinnamon for a filling breakfast. Also, I’ve even incorporated them into savory dishes like oat risotto or as a crunchy topping for salads. Packed with 5g of fiber they help me hit my daily fibre goal much easier.
