I was excited to get these because they’re chopped which is hard to find in store. Most are whole and you have to chop yourself. When I received these, I noticed a Prop 65 warning on the package which I understand yet still makes me uncomfortable regarding food.
These are soft little squares of chopped sugared dates. Delicious, but do not expect date chew or toothiness. Super soft, sweet, and a yummy add-in to breads, muffins, or trail mixes, too.
Best sweet chopped fresh dates ever!! Soft chewy goes with everything bread baked!! Tasty, quality, freshness, what more can I add except to more cooking, salads, snacks. A must try and buy!!

They're fine. I try to eat whole foods and usually buy the big bags of organic dates from Costco, then chop them up to put in my oatmeal. That's tedious though so I also order these. I like to have a bag on hand for sick days or when I'm just not into dragging out the cutting board for a simple bowl of oatmeal. They're super convenient but they're covered in dextrose which us nedded to prevent the chopped dates from getting glued together. Dome brands use powdered oats for that purpose but ost glour can go rancid so dextrose is probably better. I just soak for a minute or two in a bowl of water then rinse them in a mesh strainer to remove some of the dextrose before adding to my oats.
