This is a relatively gentle, absorbable form of potassium and works well for my husband. We both have renal potassium wasting due to synthetic vitamin D3 overdose and must take potassium almost constantly. The potassium chloride form of potassium causes my chloride levels to become too high and the potassium citrate form is very hard on my stomach. Although my husband seems to tolerate both other forms, we are cautious about ingesting too much chloride or citrate. This gluconate form is definitely my husband's preferred form of potassium. However, for me, it is still too harsh and caused severe lower abdominal (intestinal) pain if I take it more than once per day. I have had to switch over to using Cream of Tartar.

I've been reading about potassium 'bad taste' and got a bit scared initially, and then decided to go with this form. And I must say it's an utter nonsense. There isn't any taste so don't listen to anyone. It's also very small in density compared to table salt so these 400-ish grams are a actually dam huge bottle!

I take this when I take magnesium, because they evidently work together. This is a large sized bottle of powdered potassium powder. It lasts a long time. I stir it into water and chug it down. It has very little taste, but it is a bit chalky, which I can live with. I take it with magnesium supplements if I haven't been eating potassium foods, so I don't take it every day. I like the control I have over the amount.

It works great for low electrolytes. It dissolves well in the water, and it is acceptable though there is a little taste. I usually take a teaspoon in the morning and evening.

I started using this product because my sodium consumption is high. I chose the powder over the capsules because I wanted to be able to precisely adjust the dosage. Although I am not supposed to notice immediate effects, I found tiny black elements in the powder that even the company's support team could not identify. Therefore, 3 stars.
