The quality and taste of this Spirulina is really good. The colour is very bright and tasted really fresh with an undertone of sweetness and salty typical of seaweed. I have tried many brands as I take it everyday and this is by far the best one I have consumed. The package is big but it's not heavy and I love tat there's already the measuring spoon inside so it is just more higienic and easy to dosage. I totally recommend it.

Okay, real talk about the Micro Ingredients Organic Spirulina — I really wanted to love it because of all the amazing health benefits, but the taste is honestly unbearable 😩💚 I tried mixing it into smoothies and juices a few times, but that strong earthy flavor just takes over everything. After a few attempts, I just couldn’t do it anymore. Maybe it works great for others, but for me, the taste made it impossible to keep using. Still giving it credit for being super clean and organic — just wish it was easier to drink!

I haven’t tried other spirulinas as I’m mostly into whole foods, the only other non-whole food supergreen or processed superfood I have had is frozen mankai. But this product has seemed to be very high quality and clean, with only one superfood ingredient. The size is good for the price, the product is a deep green powder which doesn’t completely dissolve, but that’s not a problem in a smoothie. Slight veggie taste, usually healthy greens have it. The package is attractive, re-sealable, plastic.
