This product has the highest molecular iodine (I₂) content per capsule among similar products on iHerb. Since I have fibrocystic breast disease, and molecular iodine helps with it, I looked for an iodine supplement containing molecular iodine. Because the other two ingredients in this product, Potassium iodide and Sodium iodide, are in high doses, it doesn't need to be taken daily long-term; occasional supplementation is sufficient. Besides supporting thyroid function and breast health, iodine also has antioxidant and immune-boosting effects (iodine forms antioxidants in certain tissues, participates in immune responses, and inhibits bacteria and viruses).
