I recently added Optimum Nutrition HMB (β-hydroxy β-methylbutyrate) into my training supplement stack (90 capsules) to support muscle recovery and reduce breakdown during high-intensity cycles. Over time, I saw that on heavy training days, I experienced slightly less soreness the next day and maintained strength better during cutting or calorie deficits.
Used it several times. It actually works. Especially when you combine it with their creatine. I start seeing about 30% increased rep count. For example, if I'm doing pulls up/chin ups, I can do about 15-20% more when adding HMB and then another 10% when adding creatine. The effect lasts about 3-4 months before I hit a plateau, at which point I get off it for about 3-4 months and repeat the cycle. Works wonders.
