The quality and flavor of this tea is outstanding. If you are a fan of Puer you won't be disappointed. I got 5 steeps out of a rounded tea spoon! I probably could have gotten a couple more, but I like strong tea. The flavor mellows with each steep but the color remains vibrant. I followed the instructions on the tin, but I recommend steeping less time on the first steep to avoid a fishy flavor, which was quite strong on my first cup. I highly recommend this tea!

This tea inhibits mGluR5 (metabolic glutamate receptor), which can cause excitotoxicity in the brain. Inhibiting this receptor can lead to mood enhancement and stability. I think this and lithium orotate are the only natural supplements that can tackle mGluR5. There has a been a study showing that mGluR5 inhibitor reduced the symptoms of OCD in mice.

I read a novel about Puer Tea. Set in China, it was so fascinating, I had to try the tea for myself. Tao of Tea is a good brand. The package is a good size. This is loose leaf tea, so you can use as much or as little as you want, to find the strength of the pure quality ingredient within that will benefit you the most.

My family likes it - it's the same kind of tea often used at dim sum to help "cut the grease". It's a nice treat for visitors.
