I know there is quite a lot of confusion about the labeling with this product in that it indicates 'ascorbic acid' but this is because of labeling requirements that the ascorbic acid content has to be broken out and included as a separate measurement. The company assured me that there is no added isolated ascorbic acid and it is only the content within the whole food used to make this product. I have been using MegaFood Ultra C400 for a year now as part of the Root Cause Protocol, where it is recommended as one of a very few whole food sources of vitamin C and it has worked very well to help raise my bio-available copper. The whole C molecule is fragile and if not handled properly will degrade. MegaFood C400 and Innate Response C400 are made by the same company. The only difference is the size of the container (count) and it is a little easier on the wallet to buy it as needed vs. the larger container for me.

A good source of vitamin C. It’s helpful to get a full spectrum food source of vitamin C not just ascorbic acid (which often comes from GMO corn; always good to check your sources.).
Food-based formula seems gentle on the stomach and more absorbable.
