Timed Release is always difficult to find, and it’s the best type of vitamin C there is. 500mg once daily I find insufficient, so I take two. I know Solaray is highly reliable brand and everything I’ve tried from this brand was of high quality. However, I don’t like the taste of these capsules. There is no acidity, which I find weird. Maybe it’s just me, I’m sure that absence of acidity means nothing– I’m merely used to it. Since I take two per time it will last me 50 days, which is great.

I am used to this supplement, as I usually take the 1000 mg format. What I really like is the time-release function, and that it contains not only ascorbic acid but also vitamin C from natural sources. It feels gentle on my stomach and more effective for daily use.

There has been multiple orders for this for my Dad which was advised by his doctor to take Vit C supplements at his age for the antioxidants. The packaging is good as always from Solaray. My dad has no complaints and has been healthy so far thankfully at 83 years old. Size of tablet is a bit big but no problem to swallow with liquids. No problem on the stomach and no after taste.

Extended release formula overcomes the short active half life of vitamin C to effectively give all the benefits of this vitamin over a longer period of time. Highly recommended for those with lower immunity.
