5-HTP, 50 mg, 60 MicroLingual® Instant Dissolve Tablets

Had been wanting to try 5 HTP after reading about it in Scientific American, how it was so great for jet lag....though they did their tests using a sublingual 5 HTP, so that's what we wanted...harder to find! We travel a lot and after reading that, we decided to test it out. Eureka! It works like a dream for jet lag. (We also use homeopathic no jet lag, too). It goes under your tongue and sort of dissolves with a bit of chalky peppermint flavor. Easy peasy. It's other nice use is taking the edge off a stressful day for me. I just love this. Everyone is buying the capsules with extra additives, they are missing the boat on this one!

First, sublingual is superior because you don't have to mega-dose in order to get the same results. Second, the brand is smart enough not to combine B-6 in the tablet -- I already get enough B-6 so don't need them adding more and for those who say "but you need B-6 to convert 5-HTP to serotonin": true, but it is better to not take B-6 and 5-HTP at the same time.

My anxiety levels dropped noticeably after starting this. It’s been gentle yet powerful.

I really like this supplement! put it under my tongue for 8-10 minutes and before you know it knocks me out for 3 hrs. straight. Now this is a great accomplishment for me, for i have had insomnia for years(yuk). Try this one if you want to build seretonin to sleep.

This supplement is a fast way to get serotonin, which helps for sleep and mood, you should be wary of taking it with any kind of antidepressants and should consult a doctor first Even though it tastes meh, I felt it's effects in less than an hour, sleepy and calm the size is small since it's sublingual

Did not buy for the taste - wow it is bad! It is really effective and I will keep using. I just hate taking pills or caps.

Due to recently stopping supply of melatonin to Australia because the Australian government want to regulate the supply by only Australian companies where 30 tablets of 1mg melatonin cost $36.00au, this was recommended as a substitute, well it is not, it doesn't do anything at all. Not even close to the calming effect of melatonin no effect at all. Sadly I now have to source it elsewhere from companies who will still supply to Australia. It is perfectly legal to import if you are doing it for personal use, this ban is ridiculous.

The 5 HTP microlingual tablet is a high quality supplement to help me combat my anxiety and insomnia.
