I am challenged by chronic fatigue due to an autoimmune condition. I don’t typically notice a drastic difference with adding in a supplement; however, my energy levels have been through the roof since this addition. Many years ago I discovered Jiaogulan tea in my search for supplements to calm my frazzled nerves and social overwhelm (I'm AuDHD with many additional challenges), and it stuck with me as one of the few supplements out of 100+ that consistently helped me. Years later after having started medicating with Vyvanse and with the help of ChatGPT building a truly tailormade stack, I once again implemented Jiagogulan, and now in the form of this extract I'm reviewing. From what I've noticed, it truly seems to give me an additional boost on my work days where it makes me more happy, outgoing, enthusiastic, and generally engaged. Truly a great tool!

Gynostemma (also called jiaogulan) has a long history of use in herbal medicine, where it is nicknamed the “immortality herb.” It is also called “poor man’s ginseng” due to providing similar benefits and costing less when compared to Panax (Asian) ginseng. Gives a lot of energy but doesn't make you jittery like caffeine, also doesn't have a caffeine crash. Improves memory, calms me down and seems to have antidepressant like properties it certainly gives me a mood boost.

I take this with my morning hot drink, and really seem to have more active days and sounder sleep. I can sleep well at night after taking another capsule with dinner, but as any adaptogen, the effect can be more energising to some and more calming to others - know thyself. That's for the short-term benefits. But longer term, it is know as a longevity herb , and I did feel my body more youthful and resilient, experiencing much better regeneration while taking this herb regularly - hence a new order after a couple of years off it. I have been privy to some accumulating anecdotal evidence of favourable outcomes when using this herb along with a couple others when battling a serious health issue (which I won't name as my review would be suppressed), so I'm back on it for a couple of cycles per year to, read between the lines, reduce my 'risk' and, overall, enhance my quality of life and ageing trajectory in the long term.

I take this + hesperidin for weight control. Buying each individually matches the formula of Life Extension's AMPK activator, and seems just as effective if not more. I like the dosage and it seems to be great quality.

I like that it doesn't have too many additives. The ingredients, size, taste and dosage were nice as well, I didn't find any issue with that. The benefits were as expected. This is a good brand, they clearly put a lot of thought and care into their supplements.

I take this in combination with hesperidin to match the ingredients in Life Extension's AMPK Metabolic Activator and feel like it works even better. It's more affordable this way.
