3rd purchase...great for homemade clean chocolate bars..can eaten directly as well if u can stand bitter taste..i eat as it is and sometime use with erythritol and cacao butter to make bars
I love the fruity and earthy notes Absolutely delightful in taste and easy to grind in mortar and pestle using heirloom vanilla and cocoa butter. I add a little monk fruit to the mix! Makes the most divine hot chocolate when combined with oat milk, vanilla, allulose and a pinch of pink salt! Very high quality and I'll order again!
A misleadingly named product. Paste implies a sludgy, moist, semi-softness. Not so here: these cacao slabs are hard as rocks, dry as dust. You have to melt them down to desired consistency. I can see / taste where these might be good for making vegan drinking chocolate. But for making smoothies, my chief purpose, I might as well have gotten cacao powder instead. Intense flavor? Yes, but not entirely in a good way. Paired with Jem Organics Cinnamon Maca nut butter, and Arriba overwhelmed it. OK, but once is enough.
Quality was great. Perfect superfood to pair with dates and peanut butter to make Snickers Dates. The package made two perfect batches and mixed/melted perfectly with coconut oil. Taste was bitter as expected but tasted perfect after adding a tiny vanilla and sweetener. Definitely recommend.
break a chunk off every day for may daily dose. I only wish it was divided into even size pieces, not just random bark-like pieces. smooth texture, nice flavour. I eat with a date to help the flavour a bit
Definitely can distinguish this product from processed chocolate… it’s very rich and has a distinct taste. I bought it for the health benefits for mood and antioxidants. With that said, I would not use this for baking or cooking because it does leave some grit in the bottom of the cup. I would only drink it
I just made some chocolate with this paste, it was easy and turned out very well. I just added a cup of paste. Rated with coconut oil, then added cashews nuts crushed, raisins and cinnamon as well as honey, then finally some vanilla. Mixed it all

This is raw cacao tastes pretty good. Better than Navitas The downsides are the price and the source origin: Ecuador. Ecuador and peru are known for contaminated cacao.
