I personally don’t believe taking one a day is enough for my body as suggested. I took 4 each day which didn’t last long. Other than that I think it’s good enough.
I discovered thru DNA analysis that I have some degree of genetic inability to convert beta carotene into vitamin A, which is common in light skinned, fair haired types who historically lived in regions where they survived on fish. Because they didn't need to convert beta carotene into vitamin A, the gene for doing so mutated. Some of my ancestors went blind in their later years, possibly from this same defect. As a vegetarian, it wasn't possible to get vitamin A from my diet so I am ok with taking this mix of Cod Liver oil with synthetic vitamin A in an attempt to give my body what it needs. I take it every other day because I do eat a ton of veggies, am not sure how much beta carotene I am unable to convert, but am aware that vitamin A toxicity is no joke. This isn't an issue my health insurance wants to help me monitor. That said, my vision, eye pain, eye dryness and adult acne got better once I started taking cod liver oil, which also contains some omega 3s.

The ingredients in this are very clean. The quality is very good and there is no taste which is good so that it is easy to take. Cod liver oil helps with so mich such as heart health, hair and inflammation. There is no fish taste and the benefits are alot.
