I have been taking this now for 4 years and it is an absolute must have for women (and probably men) as we age. Due to the lack of iodine found naturally in our diets in North America it seems everyone is lacking. I did note an energy increase over time along with a noted reduction in breast tissue lumps. Apparently there is some relation to this and I have not had a single cyst since taking this, I had a few removed years in the past. Being over 40 I decided to give Iodoral a try. While it is expensive it is more convienent than the drops I was trying to use previous. Just wish the price was more cost effective because it really cuts into the budget.

I recently stopped taking prescription levothyroxine. Instead, I now supplement iodine (Iodoral, the tablet version of Lugol's solution). And I'm not feeling any symptoms of hypothyroidism. Yes, it's working! I'm ecstatic to be finally off of all prescriptions. And I'm pleased that I will no longer need my annual prescription checkup. Though there are other causes of hypothyroidism than iodine deficiency so it won't work for everyone. I supplemented on and off for a good while, as high as 50mg, to deal with bromine detox before stopping the med. Since I've been iodine deficient all my life (most of us are), my body apparently used bromine from food instead, which isn't healthy but it seems to work. But when I started taking iodine, by tissues greedily used it and released lots of bromine, which inflamed my sinuses. Though that has tapered off greatly. I haven't settled on an optimum dose, but it might be as little as 6.25mg daily.

I take it, the tablet is small and you can devide it. Iodoral is so good for your thyroid function. Has no bad feeling when I take it. Feel really better, but should take it for longer to see best effect.

I'm 24, was diagnosed with thyroid dysfunction. I've noticed that I'm actually less tired after ~2 weeks of taking it with selenium. Waking up is easier now. Would definitely recommend. As for the dosage, I like that it is based on the average iodine consumption in Japan and so far it's good for me. <3
