As with other Thorne products I’ve tried, the quality here is top-notch. The capsules are easy to swallow and don’t have any unpleasant aftertaste. I also appreciate that Thorne focuses on using clean ingredients without unnecessary fillers or additives. For anyone searching for a reliable, well-absorbed calcium supplement to support bone health, I wholeheartedly recommend giving this one a try!
Chelated Calcium for Enhanced Absorption Dietary Supplement Bone Support Foundational Gluten Free Contents Certified NSF Research indicates that a large proportion of the U.S. adult population does not consume the 1,300 mg of calcium the U.S. Food and Drug Administration recommends for daily dietary intake. Individuals who are at the most risk for calcium inadequacy because of decreased intake, disordered metabolism, decreased absorption, increased loss, or increased need include peri- and postmenopausal women, vegans, individuals who take certain prescription and OTC medications, and those with a vitamin D deficiency (because vitamin D is necessary for calcium absorption). Thorne's Calcium, as DiCalcium Malate, with 250 mg per capsule, is more concentrated than other forms of calcium (such as calcium carbonate), and is absorbed significantly better than calcium carbonate. Calcium consists of one molecule of malic acid that is bound to two molecules of calcium, which results in a compound that is 29-percent calcium – compared to calcium citrate, which is 19-percent calcium – thus resulting in more elemental calcium per capsule.

Thorne supplements are always reliable, including their Calcium, which minimizes dosage for maximum absorption.
Using this calcium for my breastfeeding in combination with other supplements. Not like I have a deficiency. My age is 30+, not sure about the quality, exact benefits and improvements on my bone but the ingredients are simple, administration was easy, taste normal, and brand reliable. Shipping was fast. Packaging was good too.
I really like this Calcium Di-Malate from Thorne. The dosage is very reasonable—taking 3 capsules per day feels just right and easy to follow consistently. What surprised me most is that my acid reflux symptoms have noticeably improved since I started using it. That was an unexpected but very welcome benefit. Overall, I truly appreciate the thoughtful formulation and quality of this product.
I switched to Thorne’s Calcium because it uses DiCalcium Malate, which is much easier on my digestion compared to carbonate forms. I take it before bed and have experienced zero bloating or discomfort. It’s a clean formula without unnecessary fillers. Perfect for maintaining bone health without the typical side effects.
Thorne Calcium comes in a 120-capsule bottle, which is a great size for long-term use and feels like good value. The capsules themselves are standard-sized and easy to take, with no noticeable smell or aftertaste, which I appreciate since some supplements can have a strong mineral scent. The packaging is simple, clean, and very professional—exactly what you’d expect from Thorne. The bottle feels sturdy and well-sealed, helping keep the capsules fresh and protected. The label is clear and easy to read, with all the important information laid out without clutter
I have been on the hunt for a high-quality, well-tolerated calcium supplement for a long time, and Thorne's Calcium (specifically the DiCalcium Malate form) has been an absolute game-changer. Unlike other calcium supplements that have given me digestive issues or just didn't seem to make a difference, this one is incredibly gentle on my stomach. I love that Thorne uses chelated calcium (DiCalcium Malate), which is known for its superior bioavailability—I feel confident that my body is actually absorbing and utilizing the mineral, which is the whole point! I also appreciate Thorne’s commitment to purity; the fact that their products are often NSF Certified and contain no unnecessary fillers or magnesium stearate gives me complete peace of mind. Since starting this supplement, I've noticed an improvement in my overall bone and muscle comfort, and I feel great knowing I'm supporting my long-term bone density with a brand that healthcare practitioners consistently recommend. Highly effective and top-notch quality—I recommend it wholeheartedly!
I like this calcium because it's Malate, highly bioavailable form of calcium that's easy to absorb and also easier on the stomach so you don't have to take it with food. I take it with kefir, approx. 2 hours in between my meals, because all my meals contain something that interferes with calcium absorption (oxalic acid, phytates, salt or caffeine), so it's advisable to separate it by 2 hours. Also you should separate it from other minerals if youre taking them, like iron, magnesium, zinc as they compete for absorption.. If you're taking it for stronger bones, it's advisable also taking D3+K2 (MK-7), Magnesium (Glycinate) and Collagen as they work all together for that goal.
First, let me start with the brand. THORNE is an outstanding brand. Actually my pharmacist uses THORNE himself, specifically for its quality. Second, the body is unable to absorb more than 500 mg of calcium at one time. This was the only brand I could find that supplied 500 mg with 2 capsules. So it is a win-win, at least for me. Highly recommend.
The 250 mg dose per capsule makes it easy to customize how much calcium I take daily, depending on my needs. I really appreciate that these capsules are easy to swallow and don’t cause any digestive discomfort like some other calcium supplements do. Since taking them, I feel confident that I’m supporting my bones and teeth with a high-quality, well-absorbed form of calcium. Thorne’s reputation for clean, effective supplements gives me peace of mind, and this product fits perfectly into my daily supplement routine for overall wellness.
