A good supplement, but I found it not to be as effective as the one I had been using for years (Liver Refresh by Now) but was out of stock. Not surprisingly when I looked at the ingredients, as LR has some that really make the difference for me. Please know my supplemental and medicinal needs are quite severe and I'm dealing with a severity of conditions most people will never get close to having, so I think for most people who just want to support their liver in its detoxification this one from Nature's Answer might be absolutely great. I do like and trust it to be a good, high quality brand.

The main bitter ingredient herb in this liver support supplement (other than milk thistle and dandelion) is the Oregon grape (no, this is not from the grape family; however, the herb is grown in Oregon). As with most bitter compounds (the active bitter in Oregon Grape is berberine), the root extract of Oregon Grape helps stimulate bile release from the liver and gallbladder, which in turn is supportive to the skin, gastrointestinal tract and immune system. Traditionally, the herb is also used to support kidney and gallbladder function. Dosage: To get the benefit of both, I take CG Silymarin Complex (1 cap) and NA Liver Support (1 cap) on alternate days. NOTE: Comes in amber glass bottle.

I ordered this product to support my liver because I have some issues with bile flow. I want to keep my liver in good condition. I actually feel that when I start taking a detox supplement like this, I sometimes experience a slight discomfort in my liver area initially, but that feeling passes after a few days. This indicates to me that the bile flow is improving, and I feel lighter overall. I would recommend it; it has a rich composition.
