I bought the K 400 expecting a premium blender that would last it has been barely used yet the pictures already leaking from the bottom around the blade assembly and onto the motor base I am very disappointed with the quality and the durability

Solid blender for daily use. Pulverizes frozen fruit easily for smoothies. I hope the plastic container holds up over years of use. Thus far, I am very happy with this purchase.
I have always trusted KitchenAid because of its reputation for making quality appliances. My blender was a Christmas gift, and I was very impressed with how well it performed. It is powerful, blends smoothly, and works much better than several other brands I have used in the past. However, I am disappointed that after only a few months of normal use, the pitcher started leaking from the base. This is a significant issue that makes the blender difficult to use and creates a mess every time I blend something. Considering the price of KitchenAid products, I expected better durability and quality. When you invest in a premium appliance, you expect it to last much longer without major problems. While I still appreciate the blender’s performance, I am disappointed by this defect and hope KitchenAid will stand behind its products and provide a solution. I’d give it a positive but honest tone: praising how well it works while expressing disappointment about the leaking issue.
It’s a great blender. Probably the best one I’ve ever owned. But after a few years the carafe is leaking and Kitchen Aide doesn’t seem to have any replacements available. As the leak gradually gets worse this whole thing becomes useless.

Works even better than expected and takes the place of multiple appliances
Blender gifted to me from my mom three years ago for Christmas, now on second jar, it’s leaking again, nasty brown stuff leaking into the motor, and appears to be leaking into my food. I wouldn’t trust using this, and now I’m worried about how long I’ve been consuming whatever chunks of metal and oil have come out of the jar into my food. Avoid this model.
Works as well as my OLD Vita-mix at a fraction of the cost! I am able to load my blender with my morning smoothie of ice, frozen fruit and other goodies, and she blends them up as smooth a silk. Other than the noise of the frozen fruit and ice blending the blender is not very loud. Clean up is easy. I can add soap and water and mix a minute, or wash by hand. The blades are not sharp so never a fear of cuts.
Use it every day for smoothies. Warranty service/replacement is excellent!
