The picture of the item shows that it is a square; however the description clearly states it is not so purchasing this item thinking that the original photo is a stock photo and going with the description was a mistake. Approx. dimensions: 11.3"L x 16.34"W x 6.97"H when this is clearly 11.3 x 11.3 --- there is nothing about this product that is 16.34" -- had to return -- too bad as you would assume that the description and the product photo would match.

Happy with purchase but not the packaging
Great skillet and I plan on using it often. Better than turning on the stove or oven. However, it came in only the original box with the shipping label attached. I would think there would be more care and package the original box inside a shipping box. Luckly no damage to the skillet but the box was damaged with holes. Next time I want a small appliance I will go to a brick & mortar store.

Wiggling handles
The handles of the electric skillet do not screw on well, and so it wiggles far too much. I am going to return it.

Material is not great, handle on the cover already peeling off. I hand wash sponge.

I love the skillet, especially on a really hot day. I do not have to turn on the stove.

Great for the price
The skillet itself feels a bit flimsy since it's so thin, but it is sturdy enough and doesn't feel like it's gonna lose its shape. I've cooked a few things and it warms up really fast and retains the heat as it is supposed to. Overall I'm quite satisfied with it.

This is not the first electric skillet I have owned. my last one lasted over 20 years. I have several products made by Proctor Silex and I simply love them.
