Bought because I needed a larger bread knife. I have been buying homemade sourdough bread and it just needs a larger blade. This worked great. Only problem was that I needed a new knife block.

We used to buy all sorts of nice knives, but realized we always ended up using just the Henkels so now we only buy Henkel's. We love their ergonomics, durability and ability to maintain sharpness.

I really liked my old knife better. The handle on the old knife was easier to grip.

We haven't been happy with that knife for a while. We used this knife to slice bagels and it was a pleasure. this knife sliced right through them, unlike our old knife. So far we are very very pleased.
