Baxter Of California Cream Pomade, 2 oz.

Baxter Cream Pomade is the best stuff I've found. I'm a guy with shorter hair and 1 container lasts me a whole year. Before I found this, everything else I tried was either annoyingly scented or didn't have the right consistency. Cream Pomade gives a natural looking hold, and it allows redoing your hair later in the day with some water if needed. For all the people here saying the formula changed: I asked Baxter about this and they wrote an impressively detailed response, explaining that changes in regulation sometimes require ingredients to be listed differently, and the formula has not changed since at least 2023.

I have bought the new formula and for a few days I was under the impression that I have bought counterfeit product. Than I have learned about the change in formulation. The new formulation is not worth buying - I have tried it for a few days then I discarded it and I have moved on to another brand. Why mess up with such a good product and change the formula? Hard to understand.

The formula that they changed to is not good, unfortunately. It’s so quick to dry that I often can’t get it all in my hair before it’s dried on my hands. Also: it doesn’t wash off your hands easily anymore. It’s really strange. Whatever they did, didn’t improve the hold or anything.

Some time in the past year they changed the formula and it just sucks. Doesn’t hold as well. Please go back to old formula.

Great product—doesn't leave my hair as frizzy/curly/wavy hair with a greasy look. Solid hold, but nothing hard.

Great product. It is very versatile. I think it is best on dry hair after prestyling and blowdrying. The key is to take a small amount and warm it up until clear and it applies very very smoothly and really does smooth and give a natural shine. I would say its more of a medium hold personally. When used this way it is amazing for casual styles for medium ish length thick wavy hair. Ive been using this more than clay pomade actually even though I think clay pomade is the best in baxter line up!

I’m not sure if this product is for me. It doesn’t do much at all. Sorry Baxter..love most of your products but this cream is just that, a cream and mostly just color. I’ll get something that gives a little definition next time.

I was a user of the Soft water pomade before. I like This Cream pomade as well but there was something I liked more about the Soft Water pomade.

Love the product. it's a good mix of not looking too styled and rigid. It still gives some hold/definition even if you run your hair through it. For some reason it's difficult to find and goes out of stock quite a bit.
