Lenox Butterfly Meadow Melamine Dinner Plates, Set of 4

Only 1/4 of the plates came. 3 were missing not in the box.

My mom loves our bone china version of this set, but with arthritis in her hands, it was getting harder to safely handle those heavy dishes. These are just as pretty but physically much lighter and more comfortable for her to hold, plus not prone to chipping or shattering if her aim or grip slips. They're dishwasher-safe, and since fortunately we don't need to be able to microwave them or cut on them with sharp knives, the melamine works just as well for our purposes. I appreciate that the design seems to be integrated into the material, rather than just screen-printed on top like a lot of plastic dishes, so I feel confident that they'll survive the dishwasher long-term. This was a great solution to adapt to changing health needs without having to give up her favorite china pattern!

Beautifully decorated, but perfect for everyday use and handling. The only downside is that they aren't microwave safe.

In the summer, I entertain outside on my deck. These plates are perfect for an outside lunch or dinner. They're lightweight but sturdy so they're easy to carry outside when loaded with food, and as a bonus, they're unbreakable in case they're dropped. They make a nice festive table as well. I've gotten many compliments on them. I also recommend the matching unbreakable glasses.

I love the butterfly meadow dishes, but the first time I used these bowls one chipped and then cracked in the dishwasher not the best of the Butterfly Meadow offerings

These pretty melamine plates are great for outdoor entertaining. They are a practical alternative to paper plates.
